Samiulla's Story

When Samiulla was just 9 years-old, his father was killed in a blast in Peshawar, Pakistan. During the funeral, his uncle asked him not to be sad. He said, “Do not cry for your father because now it is you who has to be the responsible one. Go to school or go to work in a shop. You will have to be strong.”

For Samiulla, the choice was clear. To provide for his family, he had to give up his dreams of going to school. He is now the sole provider for his family.

GSN is proud to present our newest and final film, Samiulla's Story, which chronicles the life of a Pakistani boy struggling to support a family marred by terrorism.
