Webclip: Lessons from History
Killing in the Name is a glimpse into Ashraf's life after an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber walked into his wedding and killed his father and 26 other family members in front of his eyes. Now, he travels around the world combatting terrorism and extremism. He visits schools, he talks to other survivors of terrorism, and he interviews the perpetrators of attacks, all in an effort to make sure what happened to him, and many others, never happens again.
The webclip "Lessons from History" is a personal moment for Ashraf, where he ruminates on his own struggle to prevent future acts of terror. In Petra, Jordan, he stares in awe, inspired by the people who built the beautiful, decaying city with nothing but their bare hands.
"I will never give up- until I see an end for this kind of terror- or I pass away."
