Can a suicide bomber's father forgive?

15 December 2011

Global Survivors Network - Speaking truth to terror

A suicide bomber's father and recruiter speak out - can they forgive?

Dear Friend-

Meet Ra'ed Al-Banna, a well-traveled, well-educated Jordanian man from a middle class family. He is also a suicide bomber that killed 130 people in Hilla, Iraq on February 28, 2005. According to his recruiter, it is thought to be the deadliest suicide bomb carried out by one person.

In the never-before released scene from Killing in the Name called "Recruiter and Father" we speak with Ra'ed's recruiter Zaid and his father Mansour Al-Banna who cannot accept that his son committed such a horrendous act willingly.

Please watch this emotionally-charged exchange and let us know what you think happened on Facebook.

The Global Survivors Network is comprised of people working to prevent future acts of terror.
