Killing in the Name
New York University and London First marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a symposium to evaluate and debate lessons learned, examine how terrorism and counterterrorism has changed in the past decade, and explore what can be done to stop future attacks.
On 4 October 2011, GSN co-founder Carie Lemack participated on a panel entitled "Society & Citizenship, Rights & Obligations – Collective Challenges in The Post 9/11 World".
This panel convened to address citizenship and societal aspects of counterterrorism, examining efforts to rebuild communities following inhuman acts of terrorism and create societal consensus against extremism and terrorism.
